Bleaching
Three options are available for whitening your teeth:
- Crest White Strips :: Available over the counter in most pharmacies, these are cost effective and work well for many individuals.
- Home Bleaching :: Our office will make custom-fit bleach trays and provide bleaching gel to be used 2 hours per day for 2 weeks.
- In-office Bleaching :: A two-hour appointment where we apply a bleaching gel and use a curing light to whiten the teeth instantly.
Please note that all three options may cause temporary tooth sensitivity.
Invisalign
Invisalign is the clear way to straighten teeth. It gradually moves the teeth using a series of custom-made, removable, nearly invisible aligners.
Composite Resin Fillings
Composite resin fillings have several advantages over silver amalgam fillings. They have a more pleasing aesthetic appearance and they contain no mercury. Additionally, the composite resin bonds to the tooth structure making the restored tooth stronger than it would be with a traditional silver amalgam filling.
Porcelain Veneers
A veneer is a thin porcelain shell securely bonded to the front surface of a tooth. This improves the appearance of stained, chipped, worn, or misaligned teeth without removing as much tooth structure as would be necessary in a crown procedure.
You may click on the image to the left to see before and after examples of veneers. In this case, Dr. Kim placed veneers on the two front teeth.
All Porcelain Crowns
An all-porcelain crown is made of a porcelain core with a porcelain covering unlike a conventional porcelain crown which is composed of a metal core with a porcelain covering. If you have concerns about aesthetic appearance, please ask about this option.
Bonding
Bonding is a technique using composite resin (tooth colored) filling material to repair chips in teeth in order to restore their natural aesthetic appearance. Bonding can improve the color and shape of teeth, but over time the material may need to be replaced due to staining.
Recontouring
Recontouring is a process we use to shape your teeth to provide a more uniform appearance.
